| Premature ovarian insufficiency(POI) is a disease that seriously affects the reproductive endocrine function of women.In recent years,the incidence of this disease has been increasing year by year,greatly endangering the physical and mental health of women.The present paper discussed the etiology,pathogenesis,diagnostic criteria,internal and external treatment of POI and found that traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) had definite efficacies in the treatment of POI by means of syndrome differentiation,periodic therapy,combination of traditional Chinese and western medicine,acupuncture,acupuncture combined with medication,moxibustion,acupoint catgut embedding,Chinese medicine enema,and prevention and treatment of long-term complications,with mild adverse events and more options.In recent years,the clinical application of TCM has gradually increased.Hence,the present study reviewed the application progress on TCM in the diagnosis and treatment of POI. |
