To investigate the clinical efficacy and safety of Danbai Granules in treating the sequelae of pelvic inflammatory disease of dampness-heat and stasis type. Methods:A total of 120 patients with sequelae of pelvic inflammatory disease treated in the Department of Gynaecology of Dongzhimen Hospital of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine and Shandong Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from December 2020 to December 2021 were selected.Considering patient dropout,117 cases were finally included and divided into a study group(n=58) and a control group(n=59) according to the random number table method. The control group received conventional western treatment(levofloxacin hydrochloride capsules and metronidazole tablets, oral),while the study group took Danbai Granules orally on the basis of the control group. After treatment of 2 weeks, the clinical efficacy, visual analogue scale(VAS) score,36-Item Short Form Health Survey questionnaire(SF-36) score,C-reactive protein(CRP),erythrocyte subsidence rate(ESR),vaginal cleanliness, time of abdominal pain and leucorrhea disappearance, and incidence of adverse events were compared between the two groups. Results:The total effective rate of the study group(93.10%,54/58) was higher than that(79.66%,37/59) of the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the VAS score, time of abdominal pain and leucorrhea disappearance,CRP and ESR were decreased, and SF-36 score were increased in the two groups(P<0.05); additionally, the vaginal cleanliness was improved(P<0.05).The study group was better than the control group in each index(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in incidence of adverse reactions between the two group(P<0.05).Conclusion:The clinical efficacy of Danbai Granules combined with conventional western treatment was significant in treating the sequelae of pelvic inflammatory disease of dampness-heat stasis type, which could reduce the pain degree, alleviate symptoms, improve vaginal cleanness, decrease inflammatory factor levels and improve quality of life of patients, which was worthy for clinical application. |
