to evaluate clinical effectiveness of Dingxiang Jiang qi Tang in treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease.Methods:90 cases were grouped to the Chinese medicinal group (60 cases) and the western medicinal group (30 cases)， administered with Dingxiang Jiang qi Tang or Omeprazole respectively， and observed with endoscope after 8 weeks.Results:Total effective rate for Chinese medicinal group was 95.00%， and 83.33% for western medicinal group， with a significant difference(P<0.01). Re-examination with endoscope showed a total effective rate of 84.21% for Chinese medicinal group， and an insignificantly different rate of 81.48% for the other. Conclusions:Dingxiang Jiang qi Tang is clinically effective for gastroesophageal reflux disease.
