To observe the efficacy of Jiedu Qushi Tang for cystic acne. Methods:One hundred and twenty patients were randomly grouped to be treated with Jiedu Qushi Tang or retimid-ester respectively. We observed the topical symptom alleviation and drug safety, and performed relevant statistic analysis. Results:Both groups showed significant symptom alleviation (P<0.05) after treatment, with no significant efficacy differences in between (P>0.05). Untoward action did not appear with Jiedu Qushi Tang. Conclusion: Jiedu Qushi Tang is effective and safe for the treatment of cystic acne, thus is recommended for wide application.
