To study effect of You Gui Pills on E2, T, IGF-1 levels of rats with androgen induced anovulation with infertility so as to investigate its act mechanism for treatment of infertility.Methods:Nine day-old SD female rats (n=43) were randomly divided to control group, model group, You Gui group and Clomiphene group, then established ASR model by neck injecting Andronate, followed by respective treatments according to groups on day 80. Five weeks later, blood collected from femoral artery was detected for E2, T levels with radioimmunoassay, IGF-1 level with ELISA, and observe ovary morpha.Results:You Gui Pills induced development and discharge of ovarian follicle, production of corpus luteum, reduce number of pathological cystic follicles. Besides, it also raised E2 level (P<0.05), reduced T level (P<0.05) and had a tendency to decrease IGF-1. Conclusion:You Gui Pills may promote development and discharge of ovarian follicle by way of reducing IGF-1 and T, transforming T to E2.
