Abstract:To explore the efficacy of sacral canal injection of Mailuoning on acute lumbar intervertebral disc. Methods:The patients were randomized to the sacral canal injection group (n=230) and the traditional treatment group (n=230) for 3 to 4 weeks. The clinical symptoms and signs as well as the scores of VAS were assessed before treatment, on day1, week1 and the end of treatment. Results:At baseline the VAS score was (8.6±1.4) and (8.8±1.4)points in the traditional treatment group and the sacral canal injection group respectively, on day1 and Week1, it was (8.2±0.6)and(5.3±0.9)points of the traditional treatment group, and (5.5±0.9)and (2.7±1.1) of the sacral canal injection group respectively. There was significant difference in analgesic effects between the two groups (P<0.05). Conclusion: Sacral canal injection of Mailuoning is an effective treatment option for lumbar inrervertebral disc .
