Abstract:Apart from preference to coldness or hot, or intendancy to ascend or descend, the yin and yang nature of Five zang also include the inclination to dryness or dampness. The spleen is diseased by dampness, the lung is diseased by dryness. The liver is yin in nature and yang in function, easy to transforming to dryness and hot. The kidney being watery zang, love moisture and dislike dryness. The heart being fire zang, preferred warmth and nourishment. The systematic discussion of the dryness and dampness feature of five zang will help to disclose the disease mechanism, complement the yin yang nature, and guide clinical treatment.
