Abstract:To investigate the impact of electrothermal acupuncture and rehabilitation exercises on recovery of muscle force of four headed thigh after knee surgery. Methods:A total of 30 patients after knee surgery were randomly assigned to the treatment group (15 cases) and control group (15 cases). To measure muscle force of four headed thigh at 1 week, 4 week, and 8 week after surgery. The treatment group had electrothermal acupuncture and rehabilitation exercises every day. The control group took some proactive exercise of the muscles. Results:After 2 week, the two groups had no significant difference in muscle forces. Ater 4 week, there was significant difference between two groups, and After 8 week, the difference was even larger. Conclusion:Compared with rehabilitation exercise alone, the electrothermal acupuncture combined with rehabilitation exercise have more remarkable effect to increase muscle force of four headed thigh after knee surgery.
