China is a multi ethnic country with a long history and splendid culture. Each ethnic group has its own features on the utilization of plants. And the study for plants used by each ethnic group is also called ethnobotany. The studies on the ethnobotany in China has been conducted for a certain period of time, and this article gives a review on the progress of the researches and tries to establish a foundation for further studies in the future.
