Abstract:To explore the clinical effect of Chaiqin Wendan Wubei Decoction on reflux esophagitis and to discuss the mechanism of it.Methods:Sixty eight patients of reflux esophagitis were randomized to two groups, 34 patients in the Chinese medicine treatment group were treated by Chaiqin Wendan Wubei Decoction, and 34 patients in the Western medicine control group were treated by rabeprazole and mosapride. The plasma TNF α and NO level changes were compared before and after treatment after 8 weeks. Result: The effective rates were significantly different between the two groups. Both groups had reduced RE plasma TNF α and NO levels, and there were significant differences between the treatment group and the control group after treatment.Conclusion:Chaiqin Wendan Wubei Decoction is effective for treating reflux esophagitis and its mechanism seems to be related with the TNF α and NO levels.
