Abstract:To evaluate the clinical efficacy of the prescription conducted by Qi Balance method in the treatment of non erosive reflux disease(NERD). Methods:A total of 104 patients were randomly divided into Chinese medicine treatment group and omeprazole control group, both of the two groups were treated for a eight week course. The symptom scores were assessed before and after treatment. Results: The treatment group and control group both had significant effect in treating NERD, and it showed no significant difference between the two groups (P>0.05). Symptoms of heartburn, acid regurgitation, retrosternal burn, belching, abdominal distension, and abdominal pain of the two groups were obviously improved (P<0.05). Symptoms of nausea and throat discomfort were better relieved in the treatment group than the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion: With similar clinical efficacy to omeprazole and advantages on some symptoms, prescription conducted by Qi Balance therapy is another method to treat NERD and is worthy of clinical application.
