Abstract:To observe the clinical effect of oral administration of routine drugs combined with ion-introduction of Chinese herbs in treating ankylosing spondylitis patients with tendon attachment points. Methods:Eighty ankylosing spondylitis patients with tendon attachment points admitted to our hospital from January 2009 to August 2012 were randomly divided into the treatment group and control group. The 40 patients in the control group were given oral administration of routine drugs for the treatment of the disease. The 40 patients received extra ion-introduction of Chinese herbs apart from the oral administration of routine drugs. Patients in both the groups were given 2 courses of treatment. Results:The total effective rate in the treatment group was 90.00% (36/40), while that of the control group was 65.00% (26/40), which showed significant differences between the two groups (P=0.000<0.05). The decreases of CRP and VAS scores were compared to be statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion: Oral administration of routine drugs combined with ion-introduction of Chinese herbs in treating ankylosing spondylitis patients with tendon attachment points could effectively improve the clinical efficacy, decrease CRP and VAS scores and is worth generalizing.
