Abstract:To observe the therapeutic effectiveness of intensive catgut embedding therapy combined with minimally invasive surgery in patients with mixed constipation. Methods:Cohort study was used and 70 cases with mixed constipation who received intensive catgut embedding therapy combined with minimally invasive surgery, and 66 cases who received ordinary catgut embedding therapy combined with minimally invasive surgery. Observe the clinical efficacy, related symptom score, marker residue, and following up for 12 months. Results: After treatment for 1, 3, and 12 months, clinical cure rate in the treatment group were superior to that of the control group (P<0.05); it is better than the control group in short-term efficacy and long-term efficacy. The treatment group showed more obvious results than those in the control group (P<0.01) in terms of improved in symptom score. In terms of marker residue, treatment group improved significantly (P<0.01). Conclusion: With TCM theory basis, catgut embedding therapy combined with modern means of operation can significantly improve the clinical symptoms of constipation and promote bowel movements. As a combination of various methods, it has a variety of effects in patients. It is easy to operate, being less painful to patients, thus is worthy of spreading.
