Abstract:Through the assessment of anxiety, depression in patients with slow transit constipation, explore the relationship between anxiety, depression and slow transit constipation patients, and provide ground for clinical therapy. Methods:A total of 42 patients with slow transit constipation were included in the observation group, 42 healthy people (non constipation) were recruited in the control group. The instruments used in this study included the self-rating anxiety scale (SAS) and self-rating depression scale (SDS). Results: The scores from SDS and SAS were higher in females than in males, there was a correlation between the severity of symptoms of anxiety and depression of patients with STC (P <0.05). Conclusion: Patients with STC have anxiety and depression to various degrees. The clinical symptoms and the severity of depression and anxiety are related. The treatment of slow transit constipation should be combined with cognitive therapy, so as to establish a good and healthy cognition mode, reducing the emotional reaction, achieving the better therapeutic effect.
