This paper summarized the rules of drug compatibility and dosage in decoction from Medical Records of Pu Fuzhou and Medical Experience of Pu Fuzhou： 1) Dosage of drugs in a decoction depend on the role of monarch，minister，assistant or guide; 2) Eight rules for usage of Chinese herb is the main characteristic of doctor Pu Fuzhou; 3) Different compatibility and dosage according to drugs so to restrict the toxicity and side effect.
