To study the clinical effect of paste in treating chronic atrophic gastritis. Methods：Patients with chronic atrophic gastritis were collected as the research objects and were randomly divided into treatment group (treated with paste), control group 1 (treated with western medicine) and control group 2 (treated with decoction). Clinical symptoms, endoscopy visual signs, pathology condition, infection of Helicobacter pylori, security index were observed and treatment effect were judged. Results： Curative effect of pain, fullness, belching, acid regurgitation, noisy appetite to eat less and endoscopic direct signs, helicobacter pylori infection, pathological grade in the treatment group were significantly better than those in the two control groups; the cases of adverse reaction and organ damage were significantly less than the two control groups. Conclusion： Dialectical paste treatment has positive clinical value for chronic atrophic gastritis as it can improve therapeutic effect and reduce adverse reaction.
