This paper summarizes professor Zhou Yaoting’s experience in treating infantile asthma.He puts forward eliminating hidden phlegm， examining the cause and discussing the treating principle throughout the treating thinking.He also emphasizes the importance of relieving exterior syndrome with pungent medicine， diffusing the lung and dispersing the cold， dispelling the inducement of closed lung.Because the pathogenesis is the deficiency of healthy qi and excess of the evil qi， the treatment should take tonification and purgation in combination.Tonifing merely is not advisable.Medicine has the effect like reducing phlegm， expelling sputum and depressing qi should be used in prescription.Then the effect of diffusing lung qi and stopping the asthma is increasing.Attention shall be paid to accompanying diseases， physiological characteristics of children and differentiating treatment.He advocates comprehensive treatment， adheres to medication， to consolidate curative effect to prevent recurrence.
