To observe the clinical effect of tonifying kidney， activating blood and transforming phlegm therapy combined with western medicine in treating Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS).Methods：One hundred and six patients were randomly divided into integrated traditional Chinese and Western Medicine group (treated with Ethinylestradiol and Cyproterone Acetate Tablets as well as Chinese medicine therapy of tonifying kidney， activating blood and transforming phlegm， n=56)， and Western medicine group (treated with Ethinylestradiol and Cyproterone Acetate Tablets， n=50).The serum levels of T， LH /FSH and FINS， as well as the changes of ovulation rate， were observed in patients before and after treatment.Results：The serum levels of T， H /FSH and FINS in the integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine group decreased after treatment (P<0.05).And the changes of ovulation rate was better than those of the Western medicine group (P<0.05).Conclusion：Tonifying kidney， activating blood and transforming phlegm therapy combined with western medicine is an effective treatment plan for PCOS .
