The article reviewed the clinical and experimental research on the treatment of lumbar disc herniation by traditional Chinese medicine in recent 10 years， mainly including syndrome differentiation and treatment， clinical observation， treatment mechanism and so on， and put forward the point of view， and analyzed the present problems and future direction.
