To observe the therapeutic effect of xiriga siwei decoction capsule combined with gatifloxacin in treating urinary tract infection. Methods： Seventy two patients with urinary tract infection were randomly divided into treatment group (n=37) and control group (n=35). Patients in the treatment group were given Xieriga Siwei decoction and gatifloxacin， and patients in the control group received administration of gatifloxacin. The treatment course was 7 to 10dya. The effective rate， negative rate of bacteria， and adverse reaction occurrence of the two groups were compared. Results： The total effective rate of the treatment group and control group were 91.9% and 74.2%， and there was significant difference between them (P<0.05). The tuning negative rate of bacteria was respectively 91.4% and 78.1% of the treatment group and control group， and there was significant difference between them (P<0.05). The adverse reaction occurrence rate of the two groups were similar， and there was no significant difference between them (P>0.05). Conclusion： Xiriga siwei decoction capsule combined with gatifloxacin has satisfactory therapeutic effect in treating urinary tract infection without obvious adverse reactions.
