To observe the clinical effect of modified Zuojin Xianglian decoction with triple therapy in treating Helicobacter pylori gastritis. Methods： Two hundred patients with H. pylori gastritis were randomly divided into treatment group (n=100) and control group (n=100). The control group gave patients triple therapy for eradication of Helicobacter pylori, and treatment group applied extra Zuojin Xianglian decoction except from triple therapy. The treatment course was 2 weeks, after which, main symptoms and recurrence of the two groups were observed. Results： The treatment group and the control group had no significant difference in therapeutic effect (P>0.05);the main symptoms improvement in treatment group was significantly better than that of the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion： integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine has good curative effect for treatment of Helicobacter pylori gastritis, particularly in improving clinical symptoms.
