The quantity of acupuncture is a complexity from needling manipulation including direction and depth of needle insertion; the type of manipulation(such as lifting manipulation and twirling manipulation) of acupuncture; the duration; needle-retaining time and so on.The quantity of acupuncture had potential influence on the effect according to the acupuncture theory of Traditional Chinese medicine.Many modern researches also demonstrated that the quantity-effect relationship of acupuncture was existence.So the quantity of acupuncture applied in study was optimal or not would influence the result of acupuncture study.The research of quantity-effect relationship of acupuncture could solve the problems of optimal quantity and improve the repeatability and scientific of acupuncture study，which closed connective the clinical and experimental acupuncture study.
