With the blooming of oversea Chinese medicine education, the needs of good textbooks have largely increased, therefore it is imperative to issue a universal edition of TCM textbook. Even though there has been some progress in this area, textbook editing process should be more regulated, terminology translation be more standardized, and idea of drafting and editing more follow the classical Chinese medicine guidelines. To address these issues, we proposed to have more international editors or Chinese editors who have rich experience inglobal textbook writing, adhere to original TCM concepts, diversify textbooks to different level of readers, and attach high importance to branding and copyright.
