To observe the clinic effect of ten acupoints pressure methods on cerebral infarction. Methods: Seventy patients with diagnosis of cerebral infarction were randomly divided into treatment group (n=35) and control group (n=35). Treatment group treated patients with basic treatment, acupuncture rehabilitation and acupoint pressure, while the control group treated patients with basic treatment and acupuncture. The effect was observed and compared one month later. Results: Subsequent to intervention the NIHSS score was significantly less in the treatment group than in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05); FMA score and BI score were higher than that in control group, all with statistical differences(P<0.05). Self-comparison showed in treatment group after intervention the NIHSS score significantly decreased, FMA score and BI score increased, both with statistical differences(P<0.05). Conclusion: Ten acupoints pressure methods to cure paralysis with conventional acupuncture can improve motor function of patients with cerebral infarction, promote the recovery of damaged nerve function, and increase the quality of survival. And the method is worth being promoted.
