Jianmin Yekaitai was founded in the reign of Emperor Chongzhen in the Ming Dynasty (1637), known as one of the three great pharmacies of the early Qing dynasty, together with Tongrentang(founded in 1669) and Chenliji(founded in 1600). Later, these three pharmacies, plus Huqingyutang, were called China’s four grand pharmaceutical brands. Though experiencing ups and downs in the past, this pharmacy has thrived from those difficulties and nurtured unique corporation culture, which proved its value in its history and long-lasting life span.
