To study the Jin Li Da Granules clinical efficacy on insulin resistance of type 2 diabetes with deficiency of both qi and yin syndrome, as well as its influence on blood glucose, blood lipid, urinary micro-albumin, carotid intima-media thickness and syndrome of deficiency of both qi and yin.Methods:Type 2 diabetes in phrase 3 patients with deficiency of qi and yin syndrome in our hospital from March to December in 2013 of 66 cases were randomly divided into two groups, 32 patients in the control group was given metformin, the other 34 patients in observation group was given Jin Li Da Granules as well as metformin. After 12 weeks treatment, the syndrome of the patients, insulin resistance condition, blood glucose, blood lipid, urinary micro-albumin and carotid intima-media thickness and other factors were compared.Results:HOMA-IR, triglyceride and urinary micro-albumin excretion rate in observation group was lower than the control group with significant differences (P<0.05); observation groups efficient rate of improving symptoms was 88.24%, higher than control groups 65.63%, the difference is statistically significant(P<0.05); observation groups carotid intima-media thickness level declined after the treatment with significant difference; the difference of fasting plasma glucose and HbA1C after treatment was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusion:Jin Li Da Granules can reduce the level of blood glucose and triglyceride of type 2 diabetes patients with deficiency of both qi and yin patients as well as insulin resistance and urinary micro-albumin and carotid intima-media thickness.
