To observe the curative effect of acupoint injection combined with Fengshi Qutong capsule in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis(RA). Methods:A total of 68 cases that diagnosed of RA that enrolled from March 1 of 2013 to May 31 of 2014 in outpatient of our hospital were randomly divided into 2 groups. Group I (control group) was treated with acupoint injection therapy, and group II (Study Group) was treated by acupoint injection therapy combined with Fengshi Qutong capsule. The treatment course was 8 weeks. To compare the total effective rate, time of morning stiffness, tender joint count, swollen joint count between the two groups after treatment. Results:The total effective rate was 64.7% In I group and 79.4% in II group(P>0.05). The two groups were both significantly improved in the time of morning stiffness, tender joint count, swollen joint count comparing with pretreatment(P<0.05). The II group has better improvement in tender joint count and swollen joint count than group I(P>0.05). Conclusion:Fengshi Qutong capsule combined with acupoint injection has good curative effect, well safety, and it is convenient in treating. It performs well in improving symptoms and the quality of patients life. Therefore, it has high clinical practical value, and it is worthy to be popularized in clinical application.
