To explore the effect of Longmu Zhuanggu granule on the contents of trace elements in peripheral blood of children suffering from anorexia. Methods:Forty anorexia children were randomly selected and treated with Longmu Zhuanggu granule for two months. The changes of appetite, food intake and trace elements such as calcium, iron and zinc in peripheral blood were observed before and after medication. Results:Twentytwo cases out of forty were significantly cured, 15 cases improved, 3 cases had no change, and the total efficacy was 92.5%. The contents of trace elements zinc and calcium in peripheral blood were improved obviously, and the difference was statistically significant(P>0.01). Conclusion:Longmu Zhuanggu granule can effectively improve appetite as well as food intake of children. Besides, it can increase the contents of trace elements zinc and calcium in peripheral blood. It has sound clinical curative effect on children anorexia.
