Abstract:To analyze analogous acupoints rule of acupuncture and moxibustion treatment on sore throat based on modern literature by data mining. Methods: Seventy-two articles related to acupuncture treatment of sore throat from 1957 to 2015 were collected from CNKI, Wanfang Data Knowledge Service Platform (WF) and VIP Citation Databases for the analysis of analogous acupoints rule of acupuncture and moxibustion treatment on sore throat and analyzed by computer retrieval through data mining. Results: Shaoshang (LU11) and Hegu (LI4) are the most commonly applied points. Analogous acupoints are on the large intestine meridian of hand-Yangming, lung meridian of hand-Taiyin, and stomach meridian of foot-Yangming, which are mainly located on upper limbs, head and neck. Five-shu points and source points are chosen as the main treating points. Conclusion: The selection of analogous acupoints with same or similar functions for acupuncture and moxibustion treating sore throat may produce synergistic effects with acupoints compatibility, and it also may enhance the clinical curative effects of acupuncture and moxibustion on the treatment of sore throat.
