Abstract:Pulmonary sarcoidosis belongs to the category of “accumulation” in traditional Chinese medicine, and its basic pathogenesis is stagnation of lung collaterals due to phlegm and blood stasis. The disease often shows deficient root with excessive superficial and mixture of deficiency and excess. Superficial excess is caused by stagnation of phlegm and blood and should be treated by reducing phlegm and blood stasis and eliminating stagnation. Root deficiency is due to qi deficiency of lung, spleen and kidney, in order to improve the condition, a symptomatic treatment is required.
