To study the feasibility of applying DNA barcoding technique to identify medicinal polypore. Methods:The genomic DNAs were extracted from 69 samples, and the ITS sequences were amplified and bidirectionally sequenced. All the sequences were assembled. The genetic distances were computed by Kimura 2-parameter(K2P)model and Neighbor-joining(NJ)phylogenetic tree was constructed. Results:The maximum intraspecific genetic distance of each species were all less than the minimum interspecific genetic distance. The ITS sequences were identified using Basic Local Alignment Search Tool(BLAST)method in the GenBank database. The ITS sequences of each species were clustered into one clade respectively using NJ tree method. Conclusion:The ITS sequence can be used as a candidate DNA barcode of medicinal polypore.
