To observe the curative effect of electric acupuncture combined with herbal paste and Guasha in the treatment of depression.Methods:Seventy two depression patients were randomized into treatment group and control group with 36 in each.The treatment group was treated by triple therapy:electric acupuncture,herbal paste and Guasha.The control group was treated by Fluoxetine.The treatment lasted for 8 weeks.Results:The short and long-term effects of treatment group are both obviously superior to those of the control group (P<0.05 or P<0.01).Besides,the differences in HAMD and SDS before and after treatment between the two groups also have statistical significance (P<0.05 or P<0.01).Conclusion:Chinese medicine triple therapy can achieve significant effects in both short term and long term with no adverse reaction.
