Abstract:When treating hyperthyroidism, there are around 10% tendency to induce allergies, which mainly manifested as hot skin, pruritus, or maculopapule and urticaria on face or body. Professor Chen Quanru regards that this could be categorized into three TCM(traditional Chinese medicine)syndrome types: medicinal toxicity invading exterior, medicinal toxicity stagnation and exuberance, medicinal toxicity invading blood. Professor Chen often integrate Chinese and western medicine, using Renshen Baidu San, Huanglian Jiedu decoction, Xijiao Dihuang decoction as prior medication, assisted with wind-dispelling and detoxification medicinal or anti-allergy and hormone drugs to relive them.
