Research shows that ancient Chinese doctors tend to treat allergic rhinitis by strengthening the functions of lung,spleen and kidney.In clinic practice,the writer found in some cases,the pathogenesis is related to liver function,and the major symptoms are liver-qi depression and wind-heat in liver meridian.This can also be treated from the liver aspect:soothing liver and relieving depression combined with replenishing qi and consolidating exterior,clearing liver and draining fire as well as dispersing wind and relieving itchiness.These treatments have achieved satisfying results.This paper outlines the mechanism of allergic rhinitis and discusses the medication and treatment,and thus providing a broader perspective for treating allergic rhinitis.
