The classification，resource distribution and utilization research of China native Garcinia species are reviewed.Through analyzing the existing problems and using science to solve the dilemma between medicinal species protection and medical needs，we put forward countermeasures and provide references for further research and development and sustainable utilization of Garcinia species.
