Abstract:To observe the clinical efficacy of integrated traditional chinese medicine with western medicine on treating febrile convulsion in children. Methods:From January 2013 to January 2015, a total of 224 patients of children with febrile convulsion were randomly divided into two groups, control group and treatment group, each of 112 cases. The control group was given western medicine treatment, while the treatment group was treated with combination of traditional Chinese and Western medicine. The fever clearance time,the consciousness resume time,the controlling time for convulsion,peripheral blood white blood cell count, recurrence rate and total clinical effective rate were compared between the two groups. Results:The results of the treatment group were significantly better than the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). The total effective rate of the treatment group was 98.21%, the control group 90.18, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:The curative effect of Integrated Traditional chinese medicine and western medicine of children with febrile convulsion was distinct, worthy to be promoted in clinic.
