To observe the effects of Suhuang Zhike capsule on guinea pig model of cough variant asthma. Methods:Fifty-five female guinea pigs were randomly divided into normal control group, model control group, prednisone acetate tablets group and Suhuang Zhike capsule high and low dose group. Based on related literature, set up the guinea pig model of cough variant asthma. Then observe the changes of the cough frequency, the percentage of eosinophils in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) and resistance (detection of resistance used the BUXCO RC system). Results:Compared with the normal control group, the cough frequency and the percentage of eosinophils in BALF of the model control group was significantly increased (P<0.05); Compared with the model control group, the cough frequency in guinea pig of Suhuang Zhike capsules high and low doses group was reduced obviously (P<0.05), and the resistance in guinea pigs of Suhuang Zhike capsules high dose group was decreased (P<0.05) when methacholine concentration is 0.2 mg/mL, 0.4 mg/mL, the percentage of eosinophils in BALF of Suhuang Zhike capsules high dose group was decreased obviously (P<0.05). Conclusion:Suhuang Zhike capsules could ameliorate cough frequency, percentage by eosinophils in BALF and resistance in CVA guinea pig.
