To study the chemical constituents of Smilax ferox Wall.Ex Kunth extracted from petroleum ether.Methods:Chromatographic technique was used to isolate and purify the compounds.And the structures were identified on the basis of the analyses of spectral data.Results:Seven compounds were identified：β-sitosterol (1)，stigmast-4-ene-3,6-dione (2)，floribundi quinones C(3)，daucosterol (4)，protocatechuic acid methyl ester (5)，1-O-p-coumaroylglycerol (6) and syringic acid (7)，respectively.Conclusion:All compounds were separated from this plant for the first time.
