The purpose of anesthesia in thyroid surgery is not only to achieve satisfied analgesic effect，but also to help patients remain awake and assist surgeons in performing surgery on important parts of body，thus avoiding peripheral nerve injury.However，a single anesthesia method is difficult to achieve the desired effects.Acupuncture anesthesia combined with other methods such as sedative and analgesic anesthesia，cervical plexus block or general anesthesia in thyroid surgery could achieve satisfactory anesthesia effects and reduce the associated complications，which has great application prospects.Based on this，the efficacy and acupoints selection of acupuncture combined with drug anesthesia in thyroid surgery was reviewed，aiming to provide useful guidance for improving the clinical efficacy of combined acupuncture-drug anesthesia and promote the popularization and application of it in thyroid surgery.
