Abstract:To observe the clinical effects of Huanglong Zhike Fang combined with Western medicine on infantile cough variant asthma (CVA). Methods:A total of 80 cases of children with CVA were selected and divided into treatment group and control group according to random number table, with 40 cases in each. The treatment group received the treatment of Huanglong Zhike Fang combined with Salbutamol aerosol and Montelukast Soudium chewable tablets. The control group received routine Western medicine treatment. The change of cough symptom scores,pharyngeal itching symptom scores,sputum volume scores and IgE were monitored before and after treatment. After treatment, the therapeutic effects of the 2 groups were compared. The adverse events during treatment and the patients with recurrence were recorded. Results:1) The total effective rate of the treatment group and the control group were 92.31% and 75%, and the treatment group was significant better than the control group (P<0.05); 2) Compared with before treatment, cough symptom scores, pharyngeal itching symptom scores and sputum volume scores of 2 groups were decreased, and the treatment group was significant better than the control group (P<0.05); 3) Compared with before treatment, the levels of IgE of 2 groups was decreased, and the treatment group was significant better than the control group (P<0.05); 4) In the course of treatment, no serious adverse reactions occurred in both groups; 5) Patients of 2 groups were followed up for 6 months after treatment, and the unrecurrence rate in the treatment group was 43.59% and 15% in control group. The unrecurrence rate in the treatment group was significantly lower than that in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion:Huanglong Zhike Fang combined with western medicine in treating infantile CVA could improve the symptoms of cough and itching symptoms, reduce sputum volume, and significantly decrease the levels of IgE.
