Abstract:To explore the effects of acupuncture combined with Chinese and western medicine in the treatment of patients with recurrent peripheral facial paralysis. Methods:According to the number of admission cases, 80 patients with recurrent peripheral facial paralysis were randomly divided into two groups according to random number table, with 40 cases in each group. Two groups of patients were given western medicine and Chinese medicine treatment. The observation group was added acupuncture treatment. Two groups of patients were treated for 1 week. After treatment, the clinical efficacy, H-B facial nerve function score, Portmann score and FDI score were compared. Results:1) After treatment, the total effective rate of the observation group was 975%, and the total effective rate of the control group was 85% (P<005). 2) After treatment, the H-B scores of the two groups were lower than that before treatment (P<005), and the H-B score of the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group (P<005). 3) After treatment, two groups of FDI scores were improved (P<005), and H-B score of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group (P<005). 4) After treatment, the Portmann scores of the two groups were improved (P<005), and the Portmann score of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group (P<005). Conclusion:The clinical effects of acupuncture combined with Chinese and western medicine in the treatment of recurrent facial paralysis is significant, without adverse reactions and side effects.
