Fibromyalgia syndrome (FMS) is one of the common rheumatism diseases which seriously impact the patients' quality of the life. Based on analysis of clinical data and literatures in China and abroad of 532 FMS cases of German Quizstein Hospital, Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, combining with syndrome and diagnosis, its disease name of TCM, etiology, pathology, treatment principle and method of FMS and development of diagnosis for FMS were discussed, in order to give full play to the advantages of traditional Chinese medicine and improve the quality of clinical research.
