Abstract:The four seasons, five-zang, yin and yang theory (also called season zang yin and yang), is the core content of the medical theory system of Huangdi Neijing. The five-organ control system is a summary that the theory of season zang yin and yang summarizes the core structure and mechanism of human life activities. The theory of season zang yin and yang with the five-organ control system is characterized by overall understanding of human life, attaching importance to the internal relations of the system, paying attention to the system's functional connection and dynamic balance. These characteristics suggest that we should focus on the integrity of the human body, exploring the various internal structure and functional relationships of the human body, and explore the mechanism of mutual coordination and control among the five internal organs when using modern science and technology to study TCM theory. Thus the research idea of “measuring organ with season” which is based on this understanding, is a useful exploration of the scientific connotation of the concept of visceral manifestation.
