To investigate the effect of Yiqi Wenyang Decoction on the quality of life in patients with postoperative endocrine therapy of breast cancer. Methods:From February 2013 to February 2015, 108 patients with postoperative endocrine therapy for breast cancer who were treated in Guang'anmen Hospital of China Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Urumqi Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital of Xinjiang were selected. According to random table, patients were randomly divided into observation group (n＝54) and control group (n＝54). The control group was given endocrine therapy only. The observation group was given Yiqi Wenyang Recipe based on the control group. The survival period and quality of life without disease in two groups were observed. Results:The disease-free survival (2.09±0.43) in the observation group was significantly longer than that in the control group (1.68±0.31) years (P<0.05). The observation group was significantly improved in improving the overall health score, clinical symptom score and breast cancer specific evaluation (P<0.05). The observation group was superior to the control group (P<0.05) in improving the patients' physiological and emotional function and social function evaluation. The observation group was better than the control group in improving cognitive function, but the difference was not statistically significant (P>0.05). Conclusion:Modified traditional Chinese medicine Yiqi Wenyang Formula can prolong the disease-free survival of patients with endocrine therapy after breast cancer and improve the quality of life of patients.
