Professor Lin Guohua's experience in treating chronic superficial gastritis by acupoint catgut embedding and acupuncture was summarized.Professor Lin Guohua，when analyzing the pathogenesis and the principle of syndrome and treatment of chronic superficial gastritis，pays attention to the deficiency and reality of the pathogenesis of chronic superficial gastritis.It is believed that the syndrome classification of chronic superficial gastritis is divided into five types：liver and stomach disharmony，damp heat resistance，spleen and stomach qi deficiency，spleen and stomach deficiency cold and stasis of stomach and collaterals.For specific treatment，acupuncture was used in the stomach discomfort episodes，while acupoint catgut embedding treatment was used during remission.
