To investigate the effect of Sushen decoration in treating the pediatric Helicobator pylori(HP) related gastritis.Methods:A total of 100 patients with HP related gastritis from the pediatric departments of Guangdong No.2 TCM hospital and first affiliated hospital of Guangzhou University of TCM during March 2016 to March 2017 were divided in to observation and control group by random number table,and there were 50 patients in each.Patients in control one were treated with amoxicillin,clarithromycin and omeprazole.However,patients in observation group were additionally given the Sushen decoration.And all patients were treated with 21 days.The improvement of manifestations in each group was observed and the total effect before and after the medication was evaluated by the TCM symptom scores.The serum concentrations of interleukin ( IL )-6 and IL-10 were tested.3 months after the medication withdrawal,the negative conversion rate of HP and the recurrence rate of the symptoms were collected as well.Results:The total effective rate of observation group was 96.00% while the total effective rate in control one was 82.00% and there was the difference ( P<0.05 ).The TCM symptom scores of stomach pain,epigastric discomfort,nausea and vomiting and hunger without desire to eat in the observation were obviously less than the control group,and there were the differences ( P<0.05 ).Moreover,the serum concentration of IL-6 was less than the control one while the differences of IL-6 before and after the treatment in the observation group was more than the control group,and there were the differences ( P<0.05 ).Nevertheless,there were no differences in each group on the concentration and its differences of IL-10 ( P>0.05 ).In addition,3 months after the medication withdrawal,the negative conversion rate of HP in the observation group was 92.00%（46/50） while it was 74.00%（37/50） in the control one and there was the difference（P<0.05）.Conclusion:Sushen decoration could improve the manifestations of HP related gastritis which could inhibit the recurrent rate with bacteriostasis and its effect was relevant to decrease the impression of IL-6.
