Professor Li Yuanwen has accumulated rich experience in treating dermatosis and venereal diseases in traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) for over thirty years.As a traditional Chinese medicine practitioner，through the organic integration of traditional Chinese medicine theory，modern medicine pharmacology，pathology and pharmacology，he has established a system of differentiating and treating skin diseases and venereal diseases with characteristics.In the aspect of diagnosis，Professor Li Yuanwen pays attention to the three-in-one identification model of diseases，symptoms，syndromes and physique.He also attached great importance to the theory of collateral diseases and the important role of toxins and pathogens in the occurrence and development of diseases.The treatment emphasizes three factors，and the treatment of chronic and refractory dermatosis emphasizes “factorial networking” treatment.On this basis，combined with clinical practice，the external treatment methods of traditional Chinese medicine formula granules are expanded，and pure Chinese medicine preparations such as Cangbai Shiduqing Granules，Qingshi Zhiyang Ointment are developed for the treatment of clinical refractory diseases.This paper summarized and analyzed Professor Li Yuanwen's academic ideas，aiming at enriching the differentiation and treatment theory of skin and venereology in traditional Chinese medicine，and providing a reference for colleagues when facing similar problems.
