To discuss and summarize clinical medication rule and academic idea of Professor Lu Jingen in treating inflammatory bowel disease,and to discuss the collection method of old famous Chinese medicine physicians' experiences.Methods:The typical medical cases of inflammatory bowel diseases in the outpatient department from 2011 to 2017 in our hospital treated by Professor Lu Jingen were collected.Excel was used for the drugs that meet the inclusion criteria in the selected medical case,and then SPSS 21.0 for windows statistical software was used for Cluster analysis.Results:162 medical cases were included with 622 visits.A total of 225 kinds of medicinal were obtained with total frequency of 10411.27 kinds of herbs were commonly used,including Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae,Herba Patriniae,Radix Paeoniae Alba,Caulis Sargentodoxae,Rhizoma Dioscoreae,etc.Cluster analysis showed that clearing heat and removing toxicity herbs,resolving dampness herbs,regulating vital energy herbs,tonifying deficiency herbs,astringent herbs and activating blood circulation to dissipate blood stasis herbs were often used in combination on treatment of IBD by Professor Lu Jingen.Hongteng Baijiang Decoction,Baitouweng Decoction,Tongxie Yaofang,Shenling Baizhu Powder,Ganmai Dazao Decoction were the basic prescriptions used by Professor Lu Jingen for the treatment of IBD.Conclusion:“Give priority to clearing,strike a proper balance between clearing and supplementing” is academic thinking of Professor Lu Jingen.The Cluster analysis results show objectively the rule of Professor Lu Jingen in using medicine for treating IBD.
