Abstract:To observe the effects of Baihu and Renshen Decoction(BRD)combined with western medicine on the diabetic ketosis patients with syndrome of consumption of fluid due to intense heat.Methods:A total of 60 diabetic ketosis patients with syndrome of consumption of fluid due to intense heat admitted in Shenzhen Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from October 2014 to October 2017 were retrospectively selected,and divided into an observation group and a control group,with 30 patients in each group based on whether the use of BRD or not.The control group was given routine western medicine,while the observation group added BRD on the basis of western medicine.The clinical therapeutic effects,glucose-target-time,turning-to-negative time of ketone bodies,serum β-hydroxybutyric acid(β-HBA),urine ketone bodies,the glucose metabolism indexes of Fasting Plasma Glucose(FPG),2-hour postprandial blood glucose(2 hPG),fasting C-peptide(FCP),glycosylated hemoglobin(HbA1c),insulin dosage and the incidence of complications in the 2 groups were observed.Results:Compared with the control group,the clinical therapeutic effect of the observation group was significantly increased(P<0.05),and the glucose-target-time and the turning-to-negative time of serum β-hydroxybutyric and urine ketone bodies were dramatically shortened(P<0.01).The insulin dosage and the incidence of complications were also reduced notably(P<0.05).The blood glucose index including FPG,2 hPG,FCP,serum β-hydroxybutyric and urine ketone bodies in the 2 groups were significantly decreased compared with that before treatment in the same group(P<0.01).Compared with the control group,the blood glucose indexes,serum β-hydroxybutyric and urine ketone bodies in the observation group decreased significantly(P<0.05).Conclusion:Combining with BRD applying to diabetic ketosis patients with syndrome of consumption of fluid due to intense heat could improve the clinical therapeutic effects,shorten the glucose-target-time and the turning-to-negative time of serum β-HBA and urine ketone bodies,ameliorate the blood glucose indexes,reduce the insulin dosage and the incidence of complications in patients,and therefore it is worthy of clinical application.
