To evaluate the efficacy of Chaihu Plus Longgu Muli Decoction in the treatment of patients with permanent atrial fibrillation complicated with insomnia.Methods：A total of 60 patients with permanent atrial fibrillation complicated with insomnia admitted to the Southern Branch of Guang'anmen Hospital,China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences from June 2017 to June 2018 were selected as research objects,and they were randomly divided into a treatment group and a control group,with 30 cases in each group.On the basis of basic treatment of atrial fibrillation,the treatment group was treated with Chaihu Plus Longgu Muli Decoction Granules,while the control group was treated with oryzanol.The treatment cycle was 4 weeks.The Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI)was used to evaluate the effects of treatment for insomnia and the improvement of TCM syndromes.Results：1）The PSQI scores of the 2 groups were decreased before and after treatment,and the decrease in the treatment group was more obvious than that in the control group,where the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).2）The TCM symptoms of fatigue,dizziness,headache,irritability,palpitations,chest tightness,shortness of breath,excessive sweating,anorexia,dry mouth and bitter taste in the mouth were improved in the treatment group.It was more effective in treating dizziness and headache in the treatment group than that in the control group(P<0.05)and there was no obvious effect in treating forgetfulness.The TCM symptoms of dizziness,headache and irritability were improved in the control group and there was no obvious effect in treating fatigue,palpitations,chest tightness,shortness of breath,forgetfulness,sweating,dry mouth and bitter taste in the mouth.Conclusion：Chaihu Plus Longgu Muli Decoction has a good effect in the treatment of permanent atrial fibrillation complicated with insomnia.
